Italian Sandwich

Truthfully, no matter what you put on this sandwich, it’s delicious. When it’s cold outside, I love to pair it with a tomato bisque soup. I want one now.

  • 4 pieces of sourdough bread, buttered on one side
  • shaved turkey
  • sliced salami
  • pesto sauce
  • garlic
  • sundried tomatoes
  • baby spinach
  • shredded mozzarella
  • blackening seasoning

    In a skillet, cook shaved turkey in a splash of olive oil

    Sprinkle the blackening season on turkey and cook on medium low heat.

    Spread pesto on unbuttered side of bread.

    Add sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, spinach, salami and turkey, and bread.

    Place sandwich buttered side down and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
