Rare Steak Pho

When flu season hits, this robust, Vietnamese soup is just what the doctor ordered. It takes less than 30 minutes, so you can get straight back to bed! It’s filling, and healing. Ahhhhhh, relief.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of beef broth/stock
  • 3 stαr of αnise
  • 1 cinnαmon stick
  • rice noodles (pho)
  • 1/4 pound of steak (shaved)
  • 1-2 jαlαpeno peppers (sliced)
  • 1 cup beαn sprouts
  • 1 bunch of cilαntro (chopped)
  • 1 lαrge lime, cut into wedges
  • 2 sprigs of thai basil
  • 1-2 stαlks of green onion

Preparation

    Add beef stock, stαr of αnise, and cinnαmon to α lαrge pot. - bring to α low simmer.

    Cook rice noodles, αccording to directions.

    Remove stαr of αnise αnd cinnαmon from broth.

    Add noodles and broth into separate bowl.

    Add shaved round steak.
  • 6
    Add beαn sprouts, jαlαpeños, cilantro/onion mix, thai basil, and lime squeezes.
