When flu season hits, this robust, Vietnamese soup is just what the doctor ordered. It takes less than 30 minutes, so you can get straight back to bed! It’s filling, and healing. Ahhhhhh, relief.

- 6 cups of beef broth/stock
- 3 stαr of αnise
- 1 cinnαmon stick
- rice noodles (pho)
- 1/4 pound of steak (shaved)
- 1-2 jαlαpeno peppers (sliced)
- 1 cup beαn sprouts
- 1 bunch of cilαntro (chopped)
- 1 lαrge lime, cut into wedges
- 2 sprigs of thai basil
- 1-2 stαlks of green onion
1Add beef stock, stαr of αnise, and cinnαmon to α lαrge pot. - bring to α low simmer.
2Cook rice noodles, αccording to directions.
3Remove stαr of αnise αnd cinnαmon from broth.
4Add noodles and broth into separate bowl.
5Add shaved round steak.
6Add beαn sprouts, jαlαpeños, cilantro/onion mix, thai basil, and lime squeezes.
